Panamanian authorities expand plans for Farfán megaportFriday, April 11, 2008 The government of Martín Torrijos has apparently decided to build three terminals at the port development at the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. However, it's not clear when this will be done. Panama's second vice-president, Rubén Arosemena, says the concession for the megaport development in the Palo Seco area of Farfán must wait until the Assembly approves a contract between the State and the Port Singapore Authority(PSA) to build a container center at the Rodman Quay. Arosemena did not provide details. The PSA says it will invest 70 million dollars in its project.
