In El Salvador, the contract for the financing, design, construction and operation of the San Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez International Airport Cargo Terminal is tendered under the Public-Private Partnership format.
The project contemplates two phases of development: Phase 1 consists of financing, design, expansion, construction, equipment, improvement of maintenance and operation of the existing Cargo Terminal.
The ACP has approved the documents to tender in ten days a concession to one of the prequalified companies; PSA International Ltd, Terminal Link, Terminal Investments Limited and APM Terminals.

A contract has been signed for the start of works on the International Airport in Palmerola, Comayagua, so that operations can start in 2018.
Following the signing of the official contract, construction of the new International Airport in Palmerola, in the department of Comayagua, will begin in May, for operations to start in 2018. This was announced by the Spanish concessionaire EMCO Corporation. The total investment is $163 million, of which the Kingdom of Spain will provide $53 million as part of a debt restructuring program with Honduras; $87 million will be private investment and the Honduran State will contribute $23 million.
