The Circle K chain of stores, originally from the United States, will open its first store on June 19, which will be in Zone 9 of the country's capital.
Grupo Intur, a business firm that already operates the chain of stores in Honduras and Costa Rica, reported that it will be in charge of investments in Guatemala and that the first point of sale will be in Plaza Asadis, Boulevard Liberation.
KFC chain will invest $3 million to open three new restaurants and $1 million to remodel other locations already operating in the country.
The company reported that the new restaurants, which will begin operations in 2019, will be located in Escazú, Limón and Heredia, and those that will be remodeled are located in downtown San José, Alajuela and in Multicentro de Desamparados.

The chain Multispa is to open two new offices in the Costa Rican capital in the coming months.
The two new fitness centers will open in areas of Tibás Llorente and Guachipelín, and will replace the current ones in San Jose and Escazu-Trejos Montealegre.
