The project seeks to improve comprehensive care for cancer patients, the second leading cause of death in the country.
Known as “Strengthening Comprehensive Care for Cancer in the Oncological Network of the Costa Rican Social Insurance System (CCSS),” the initiative includes the construction of a new research and cancer diagnostic center and the reinforcement of infrastructure and equipment, among others.
