Due to the "unstable security conditions" that are affecting the country, the US Embassy reported that as of May 16 it will not process routine applications for nonimmigrant visas.
The US Embassy explained that it will prioritize "... services to US Citizens, including applications for passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, Immigrant Visa cases that are pending in the Consular Section and Emergency Nonimmigrant Visa services."
As of May 25th, Honduran citizens will be able to travel to the Arab country for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days without requiring a visa.

United Arab Emirates.Starting from May 25, an agreement will enter force that will allow Hondurans traveling to the United Arab Emirates to enter that country without the need for a visa.The migratory benefit applies to Hondurans holding diplomatic, official, special and ordinary passports. The agreement also establishes that in the same way citizens of that Middle East country wishing to travel to Honduras will be exempt from the visa requirement.
The government has modified the immigration status for people of Venezuelan origin with an ordinary passport, who will now be required to have a "consular visa".
Representatives of the Guatemalan executive announced that since last week Venezuelan visas have been changed to a more restrictive category, and now any person who is originally from that South American country and wishes to enter the country, must present a consular visa.
Citizens of the Dominican Republic who travel to Nicaragua for tourism or business purposes for a period of up to 90 days may enter without having to have a visa.
Nicaraguans visiting the Dominican Republic will also not be required to have a visa to enter.

"From now on, Dominicans holding ordinary passports will also be exempted from the visa requirement to enter, leave, transit and stay in the Republic of Nicaragua for tourism and business purposes, for a period of up to 90 days,"said the Dominican Chancellor. "
As of October 1, 2017, Venezuelans traveling to Panama will need a stamped visa in order to enter the country.

August 22, 2017.The President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela, announced today that fromOctober1,Venezuelans traveling to Panama will need a stamped visa in order to enter the national territory.
The Varela administration is assessing the possibility of making the requirements to grant tourist visas to Chinese citizens more flexible, in order to attract tourism and investments from the Asian country.
The possibility was raised by representatives of the Panamanian government to their Asian counterparts on an official tour that is taking place in China.
A new measure imposed by Nicaraguan immigration authorities requires foreigners who intend to enter the country to file a "notice of entry" seven days in advance.
The Nicaraguan business sector, particularly companies working in the tourism industry, regret the government's decision to implement this measure. The only thing it does is to discourage the entry of foreigners, who in their vast majority come to the country to take part in tourist activities.Complaints have arisen from El Salvador and other nations about the difficulties of this new measure, especially from tour operators and tourist companies that manage trips to Nicaragua from neighboring countries.
The agreement signed between governments abolishes the visa requirement for citizens of both countries who enter for tourism or business purposes for a term of up to 60 days.

Tegucigalpa.With the aim of promoting tourism and facilitating the movement of Honduran and Dominican citizens, the governments of Honduras and the Dominican Republic signed an agreement today establishing the abolition of visa requirements for their nationals in ordinary passports.
The Nicaraguan government has announced that the visa exemption applies to Nicaraguans who visit the Asian nation for a maximum term of 90 days.
The news was released by Vice President Murillo, who explained that all you have to have is a current passport and round trip tickets in order to enter Taiwan.
"...El Nuevo Diario tried to obtain the version from the Embassy of Taiwan, however the communication department stated that so far no official statement has been released.Unofficially it is known that the new measure is already in force."
The timeframe for tourist visas has been reduced to 90 days and the period of validity for temporary cards for those seeking temporary or permanent residence reduced from 12 to 6 months.
From Decree 590 of the Executive Branch, published in La Gaceta:
"...Article 16.Immigration authorities at the National Immigration Servicewill issue tourist visas valid for a period notexceeding ninety (90) days, if foreigners comply with the requirements of this regulation without prejudicing what is established in international agreements ratified by the Republic of Panama and the principles of reciprocity."
From November 4 2016 to May 2017 Colombian tourists arriving in Costa Rica as cruise passengers will not require a consular visa to enter the country.
The measure aims to boost trade and tourism in the province of Limón, providing more facilities and agility to Colombian tourists visiting the country for a few hours while the cruise makes its stop in Puerto Limon.
In 30 days, the agreement will become effective for the elimination of tourist visas in ordinary passports of Peru and Costa Rica.

July 2, 2015. Manuel A. Gonzalez Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Ana Maria Sanchez Vargas, signed in Paracas, Peru, the Agreement on the abolition of visas in ordinary passports.
The two Governments have signed an agreement abolishing visas in order to expedite the necessary formalities for travel between the countries.
With Russia, the total number of countries that have abolished visas for citizens of Honduras amounts to more than 70. Among them are: Turkey, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Malta, Malaysia, Japan, Israel, Greece, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
The Immigration Department has improved systems at the consulate in China in order to make it easier for Chinese citizens to obtain the visa they need to visit the country.
As part of a strategy to promote tourism being carried out by Costa Rica in China, the immigration systems operating in the consulate are being updated in order to provide a more streamlined service for issuing visas.
In the first five months of the year the country received 215,581 cruise tourists, who generated $27 million in revenue.
The Panama Tourism Authority notes that in the first five months of the year, "... an average of 45,000 monthly cruise passengers disembarked at the port at the edge of the city of Colon and in the port in Amador on the Pacific entrance to the Canal. "
