Sterigenics opened a sterilization plant in Costa Rica using ethylene oxide.
A statement from CINDE reads:
Costa Rica will host the world's most modern plant by the leading sterilizer Sterigenics
• Company strengthens Costa Rica’s position as an export platform for end products in the sector life sciences to users worldwide.
• Sterigenics will serve clients on the isthmus from our country, making its hub in Latin America.
Sterigenics International will install a sterilization and ionization services plant near the capital, San José.
According to plans, the plant will be ready in late 2011 and is expected to begin operations in January 2012.
