Railways, an industrial park, port terminals, and roads are concrete investment projects that will be presented during the next Guatemala Investment Summit 2013.
The National Alliance for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE by its initials in Spanish) is preparing a series of infrastructure projects that will be presented during the 2013-Guatemala Investment Summit organized by the Chamber of Industry (CIG by its initials in Spanish) for next May, with the expectation of attracting over U.S. $1.3 billion in investments this year.
Representatives from companies providing products and technology services in the region are meeting in Guatemala.
Sectors being promoted in the event include sustainable tourism, health and wellbeing tourism, laboratories, contact centers, digital content development, and software.
Companies from Guatemala, Central America and Peru since yesterday, September 29, have held negotiations with 34 foreign buyers.
Sectors such as handicrafts expect to do business at a two-day event, called New World Craft.
Besides this event, the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport) is organizing for its members to take part in the Service Summit convention, where sectors such as call centers, digital content development, sustainable tourism and health, among others, estimate business of $25 million will be done.
The third edition of the Summit of Exports of Services, “Service Summit”, will take place on 29 and 30 September.
At the event, Guatemala will open its doors to Presidents of Associations and Chambers of Information in Communication Technologies from 21 countries, suppliers of technology products and services, national and regional media, representatives of national and international government institutions and over 60 international buyers and brokers, all from Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, South America and Europe.
