Infrastructure, restroom services, water and sanitation improvements are being carried out.
The $2 million improvements are part of the rehabilitation and sewer extension project for Copán Ruins, which includes the extension of the sewage system, collection networks, sub-collectors, collectors, fire station, septic tanks and a wastewater treatment plant.
The fund will be used to carry out small social-production community water and sanitary projects.
The Government of Taiwan, via the Technical Secretariat for International Cooperation (Setco), approved $1.95 (36.9 million lempiras) in funds to carry out the projects.
The initiative will benefit million of Hondurans in 50 municipalities in 15 of the country's departments and is a representation of the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.
