The Central Bank of Honduras tenders the rental service of digital radio and communication repeaters for Tegucigalpa, Comayagüela, San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba and Choluteca.
In the first six months of 2019, the countries of the region imported communication radios for $42 million, with companies in Costa Rica and El Salvador being the main buyers.

Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador agreed on a plan that seeks to guarantee order and security at the Integrated Border Posts, and also approved the technical documents for the operation of Radio Frequency devices at the borders.
The Guatemalan Ministry of Economy (Mineco) reported that the countries in the Northern Triangle approved on May 28 a security plan for the Integrated Border Posts (IFP) of the Customs Union (AU), which was signed by the ministers responsible for security in these countries.
In the first nine months of 2018, countries in the region imported $100 million in communications radios, 12% more than what was purchased in the same period in 2017.

In the first three months of 2018, countries in the region bought $34 million worth of communication radios, and 76% were imported by companies in Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama.

Last year, countries in the region bought $124 million worth of communication radios, and 67% were imported by companies in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama.
