By 2011, all employers affiliated to Costa Rica's social security agency (CCSS) will have to submit their monthly employee reports via Internet.
The CCSS (known locally as the Caja) application is being incorporated in the Centralized Tax Collection System (Sicere in Spanish).
By the end of this year the Caja expects some 20,000 companies to be submitting and paying their payroll contributions via the website.
