Tourism in Nicaragua grew by 6.8% during 2007, with 978,330 international visitors arriving in the country.
This represents an increase of 50,812 tourists over 2006. It's estimated that the foreign currency generated by tourism totaled about 255.1 million dollars, or three per cent of Gross Domestic Product.

Hotel owners , together with local authorities, are preparing to receive the Coral Princess, a cruise shop with almost 2,000 tourists of various nationalities, who are attracted by the spectacular beauty of the bay.
