At the regional level, it is estimated that Mabe Guatemala, Distribuidora Electrónica, GMG Comercial Costa Rica and Mabe de El Salvador accounted for about 23% of total kitchen imports.
A study by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit shows that El Gallo Más Gallo from Alajuela, Whirpool Guatemala and Agencias Wayare other companies with a considerable share of the Central American kitchen market.
In 2016 imports of washing machines and their parts in Honduras totaled $14 million, 13% more than in the previous year.

The manufacturer of cookers and refrigerators is transferring to Columbia the refrigerator production line it has thus far operated in Costa Rica, where it will maintain a corporate center for the region.
