The Consortium MEC Shipyards has taken possession in concessional format of the former Braswell Shipyard, and will pay $99 million over a 20 year term.

Panama has witnessed the opportunities brought by the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP by its initials in Spanish), for the country during this administration. Every day, and day after day, our team has fulfilled the goal of developing our maritime and port sector nationally and internationally, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and commitment to Panamanians", said the Manager of AMP, Roberto Linares.
