The Ministry of Health in Panama has annulled the tender for wastewater treatment and announced that in six months a new competition will be convened.
The Ministry of Health in conjunction with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), decided to cancel the tender for the Design, Construction, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Works for the Second Wastewater Treatment Plant Module in Panama City.
The Ministry of Health announced that on June 30 it will publish the specifications of the tender for the design and construction of the hospital, with a price tag of $8 million.
PThe new tender will be published in PanamaCompra, where interested companies must use as a reference the "medico-funciona" plan prepared by professional and administrative staff of the Children's Hospital, and must provide 400 parking spaces, areas for kiosks and pedestrian areas.
The National Assembly has approved the transfer of $23 million to the Ministry of Health for the study, design, construction and equipping of Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital in Colon.

The $23,623,000 886 are intended to cope with payment obligations of the contract 185 (2010), whose objective is the study, design, construction and equipping and financing of Hospital Manuel Amador Guerrero, in province of Colon, on the order of $ 22,732,000 and $891,000 for the construction, equipment and funding for Anita Moreno Hospital, in the province of Los Santos.
A sewerage system, a convention center, housing and schools, are part of the projects announced for this year in the province of Herrera.

During the Cabinet Council held at the Colegio José Octavio Huertas in the district of Pesé projects were announced in the order of $74.8 million to be executed in the province of Herrera.
The Presidency has ordered the withdrawal of the draft law which proposed levying $0.05 per liter of petrol and using it to finance the payment of pensions and retirements.

The president, Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez instructed the Minister of Health, Francisco Javier Terrientes to withdraw the bill which would have increased pensions for retirees in order to continue discussing it in the Cabinet.
