Guatemala's Army Military Industry will export kaibil-type boots to Nigeria, Panama and Honduras.
Military Industry's factory employs some 150 people, and outputs more than than 100.000 pairs of shoes each year. It will start making boots for public forces in Panama, Honduras and Nigeria.
"Juan Antonio Tojín, vice president of the Union of Footwear Makers, said that becoming more technical in recent years has been one of the keys for the international expansion of the Military Industry", reported Prensalibre.com. "In Guatemala, this entity will compete in exports with 'Cobán and Ferreti' footwear, which specialize in shoes for security uses, stated Tojín".
