More than 500 exhibiting companies representing 32 countries made some 1,420 contacts in business conferences during the four days of Expocomer 2016.

Panama, March 13, 2016. The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) closed the thirty-fourth edition of Expocomer. According to the Center of Economic Studies at the Chamber of Commerce of Panama (CEECAM), $131 million was transacted and around 12,701 visitors received from 32 countries during the four days that the fair was open. Similarly, more than 1,420 contacts were made at the business conference, which was held for the third consecutive year.
The trade fair in Panama starts with 120 buyers in Central America and the Caribbean in the Atlapa Convention Center.
In 2015, Expocomer managed transactions totalling $124 million and for the 2016 edition the organizers expect a similar or higher figure, as it has now sold out, according to statements made to Anpanama.com by Raul Delvalle, President of the Organizing Committee of Expocomer 2016.
Confirmation has been given of the participation of delegations from countries such as Argentina, El Salvador, Israel, Mainland China, Bolivia, Peru and Brazil, and for the first time, Slovakia.

In 2013 the Andean country exported for $640 million worth of products to Panama and it is expected there will be a 10% increase in the trade between the two countries in 2014.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, Magali Silva, attended Expocomer with a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs with the aim of increasing relations with the Panamanian market.
The group Tuskon Evrensel, the largest in Turkey, increased the number of spaces used by its companies to exhibit at the largest trade show in Panama from 8 in 2013 to 42 in 2014 .

For the second consecutive year, a group of Turkish businessmen from TUSKON Evrensel, the largest in the country, participated in the exhibition with 26 companies in the 32nd version of the Expocomer Fair, a regional trade window which this year brought together more than 500 companies from all over Latin America."

The participation of countries such as India and Turkey at the trade fair taking place from 26th to 29th of March reflects the interest in the region that exists globally.
Organizers of the Panamanian trade fair Expocomer explained to Mexican businessmen that the event is becoming increasingly global, confirming the interest in the region aroused from businesses around the globe.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture in Panama has presented its pinnacle event, the XXXII version of Expocomer, which will be held from 26th to 29th of March, 2014 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.

The 23rd edition of the Expocomer closed on Saturday having conducted $80 million worth of transactions and made an impact on the local economy of $35 million, $5 million more than in 2012. In addition, many of the entrepreneurs who attended the event were able to start negotiations which they expect to close in the next few months.
Three more countries have joined the 32 who attended the event last year, the most noteworthy being China, India and Taiwan with larger pavilions.
Three countries more than in 2012 will participate in the Expocomer fair which has registered transactions totaling more than $100 million over the past three years.
Trade missions of America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean will meet in Panama, for the traditional annual event where more than 2500 companies will have the opportunity to do business.
