Telefonica Moviles Panama won the data storage service for the number portability project.
The National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) has awarded the contract worth $ 305,856.

The Government will discuss the Colombian electrical interconnection project with various sectors of the society.
The project aims to connect Colombia to Panama, effectively linking the electric market of the Andean Community with its Central American equivalent.

After all bids were declared void, the terms and conditions for the purchase of equipment and leasing of a data center are being reviewed.
The Panamanian Public Services Authority (ASEP) has met with members of the public acquisitions directorate with a view to improving the bid specifications for the project that will enable people to keep their telephone number when they change providers.
The Dutch company proposed to install and operate the system in Panama for $2.67 million.
Two other companies participated in the bidding: “Informática El Corte Inglés” ($4.8 million), and Teletech D.O.O. ($2.75 million).
Dennis Moreno, head of the Panamanian Public Services Authority (ASEP), explained that the proposals will be reviewed by an evaluation committee composed by officials from several entities, who will decide which company will be awarded with the contract.
The provisional license given to company "Recursos Renovables de Panamá" to develop wind farm Chorcha I was revoked.
In a press release, ASEP, the Panamanian public services authority informed of "the cancellation of the Provisional License granted to RECURSOS RENOVABLES DE PANAMÁ, S.A. ... to build and exploit a Wind Power Farm called Chorcha I, in the localities of Gualaca and Hornito, Gualaca district, Chiriquí province, and in Besiko and Kankintú".
"In my government, the interests of the people come first. For that the country needs abundant energy at a fair price".
The Panamanian Government announced measures to lower energy bills, and, in the words of president Ricardo Martinelli, they "must be effective, and reflected in lower fees to users".
"I will be personally involved in this topic, because in this country, law must be complied with", said Martinelli, adding that "we want businessmen, not ruthless ones ('empresaurios', in his own Spanish words) who engage in savage capitalism. Some international companies are hiding behind what is dubbed legal certainty; but nobody cares about the people's legal certainty".
