The deadline for submitting bids in the tender for project management of works on the concession for the International Airport in Palmerola, Honduras has been postponed until November 7.

A call is being made for participation in an international tender for the award of a contract to provide services to the National Electricity Company of Honduras.

It has been announced that in April a tender will be held for the construction, using Public Private Partnership mode, of an industrial mining park in the south of the country, where several artisanal mines are operating.

Officials from the Commission for the Promotion and Public Private Partnership (COALIANZA) and the Honduran Institute of Geology and Mining (INHGEOMIN), will be launching in April a tender for the construction of the first mining park in El Corpus, Choluteca in the form Community Public Private Partnership (APPC).
The Honduran government has annulled the contract awarded in January to the company Saisa for the construction of the terminal and announced they will put it out to tender again.
The project will be conducted under conditions different from those previously established, for this reason the cancellation of the contract was confirmed and it was clarified that the company given the award, Servicios Aeroportuarios Integrados S.A.
For the second time an extension has been given on the deadline for expressions of interest for the international competition for the Financing, Construction, Operation and Transfer of the Civic Government Center in Honduras.

Tegucigalpa, September 9. 2014. In reference to the notice published on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 August this year on the invitation to submit Expressions of Interest for the International Public Tender for Selection of an Investor - Operator for the Design, Finance, Construction, Operation, Lease and Transfer of a Civic Center for the Government of the Republic of Honduras, we hereby inform interested companies, that under instruction from the Technical Committee of the Trust, the deadline to submit expressions of interest for the implementation of the project, has been extended until Monday September 22, 2014, 5:00 pm standard time of the Republic of Honduras.
The deadline has been extended to receive expressions of interest for the international competition for Financing, Construction, Operation and Transfer of the Government of Honduras' Civic Center.

In reference to the notice published on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 of August this year about the invitation to submit Expressions of Interest for the International Public Tender for Selection of an Investor - Operator for the Design, Financing, Building, Operation, Lease and Transfer of a Civic Center for the Government of the Republic of Honduras, we hereby inform interested companies, that as per instructions from the Technical Committee of the Trust, the deadline to submit expressions of interest for the implementation of the project has been extended until Wednesday September 10, 2014, 5:00 pm standard time of the Republic of Honduras.
Decisions are being made whether to award in concession the construction and maintenance of the road from Tegucigalpa to the south of the country, whose expansion to four lanes is estimated at $70 million.
The eventual concession process for the work would be coordinated with Coalianza, who mentioned that they have already received expressions of interest in the project from 22 companies.
Currently being contemplated is the possibility of canceling the contract for the construction and management of the airport, awarded in January, and putting out a new tender for the procedure.
Due to the fact that airport safety in the country is now the responsibility of the government, the Commission for the Promotion of Public Private Partnerships (Coalianza) has announced that they are studying the possibility of canceling the contract which was awarded to Saisa, which included the management of security, and instead launching a new tender which would remove the issue of security from the contract.
Honduras is calling for expressions of interest for the "Design, Financing, Construction, Operation and Transfer of the Civic Government Center of the Republic of Honduras."

The Commission for the Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships (COALIANZA) in coordination with LAFISE Bank SA, in its capacity as Arranger and Trust Bank, on instruction from the Technical Committee at the request of the Government of the Republic of Honduras, through the Chairman of the Republic, are in the process of structuring and development of a project entitled "Design, Financing, Construction, Operation and Transfer of the Civic Government Center of the Republic of Honduras."
COALIANZA is inviting international and national companies to submit expressions of interest for the construction of 88 kms of road between Tegucigalpa and Jícaro Galán, in the south of the country.

"Ficohsa Bank in its capacity as Trustee and COALIANZA as the structuring agent for the Project for the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the CA-5 South Road hereby invites Construction Companies and National and International Consultants to submit a letter of interest for the development of Highway CA-5 South (Exit Tegucigalpa-Jícaro Galán with an approximate length of 88 km) in the form of Public Private Partnership. "
Using trusts the Government of Honduras will transfer into private hands the financing and operation of the system for passport issuance and property registration.
Authorization has been given to the execution of a trust agreement to run the studies required for the structuring, financing, development and operation of the Project entitled "Modernization, Improvement, Management and Operation of the Immigration System and Passport Issuance in Honduras."
A subsidiary of Terra Group will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, and maintenance and operation of the International Airport at Palmerola.

The Commission for the Promotion of Public Private Partnerships (COALIANZA) has awarded to Constructora de Servicios Aeroportuarios Integrados S.A.(SAISA), the Contract for the Design, Financing, Construction, Maintenance and Operation of Palmerola International Airport, which will be located in the city of Comayagua, on the road axis between Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.
The company which is already operating other airports in Honduras was the only one to provide a technical and financial proposal for the award.
The Honduran company Servicios Aeroportuarios Integrados S.A. (Saisa), a subsidiary of Terra Group, submitted the technical and financial offer after being shortlisted along with the consortium of Colombian origin Concay SA, who ultimately decided not to present a proposal for the construction of the new terminal.
