Trade missions continue to arrive, this time from Europe, attracted by the quality of pineapples in Chiriqui and Chorrera in Panama.
The German company Cobana Frunch Tring is interested in importing pineapples from Panama, and has therefore sent executives to tour two companies who are growing and marketing the fruit in Chiriqui.
Ben Cardoze Fabrega, from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said that the Germans will start by making a small order, of one or two loads. Cardoze highlighted the sweetness of the Panamanian product, a feature which has attracted potential buyers.
