Embotelladora La Mariposa in Guatemala, Distribuidora La Florida in Costa Rica and Femsa in Panama are three of the companies in Central America that report the highest figures for purchases of all types of beverages.
An analysis of CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence unit provides details on the companies according to sector, main activity, volume and value of their imports, exports and other relevant data.
The increase in production capacity will allow Cervecería Panamá to expand its presence in the market, especially with its brand Atlas.
From a statement by Cerveceria Nacional, SA:
Cervecería Nacional, focussing on maintaining the quality of its products and continuing to contribute to the economic development of the country, has made a total investment of $90 million in the last three years and $21 million in the expansion of its plant, located in Tumba Muerto.
Cervecería Nacional will invest in expanding its milk processing plant in Chiriqui.
Currently, the plant produces 100.000 daily liters of milk, production which will be increase to 118.000 with the planned investment, including warehouse expansion and improved distribution systems.
Gilberto Moreno, the company´s milk supply manager, explained that "there will be a $ 540.000 investment to convert 50 grade C dairy producers to Grade A, which adds to the 31 farmers benefited from a similar investment last year," reported Pa-digital.com.pa.
