An environmental impact study has been presented for the "City of Hope Arraiján" project, which will consist of 2,250 homes in an area of 36 hectares in western Panama.
The company CCA.MCM Consortium was the winner of the tender convened by the Ministry of Housing and Land Management. In the Environmental Impact Assessment study (EIA) submitted to the Ministry of Environment, it states that the development will be named "Ciudad Esperanza Arraiján" (City of Hope Arraiján) and will be located in the district of Vista Alegre, Arraiján district.
The proposals submitted by four companies to build the 'City of Hope' project in Arraijan range from between $137 million and $164 million.
Under the shadow of protests against Odebrecht's participation in the tender as part of one of the consortia bidders, stemming from charges in Brazil of acts of corruption, bids for the construction of the so-called 'Ciudad Esperanza' or 'City of Hope' were received.
