The plant is located in the canton of Oreamuno in Cartago province, with facilities for receiving, weighing, sorting, packing and shipping horticultural products.

A new, modern vegetable packing plant began operations in Paso Ancho de Pacayas in the canton of Oreamuno, increasing the export capacity of the Carthaginian community.
An announcement has been made that as of December 3rd the $29 corresponding to departure tax will be included in the final price of airline tickets.
The tax collected since 2003 by the Banco Crédito Agrícola de Cartago, starting from December will be included in the final cost of tickets, with the aim of simplifying procedures and avoiding the long lines that travelers have to make in order to pay the tax before leaving the country.
The government of Costa Rica said it plans to build a new hospital for the elderly and is looking at alternatives for funding from abroad.
The project aims to construct a new geriatric hospital adjacent to the Immigration and Nationality Department in Uruca in San José, in order to meet demand from the growing elderly population in the country.
