Through a commercial supply chain project with Grupo de Alimentación Calvo two Costa Rican food producers will export to Europe and Central America under the private brand model.
Grupo El Ángel and Alimentos Kamuk are companies that will be exporting hot chili sauce, green chili sauce, red chili sauce and tabasco in early 2015 to Central America and later that year to Europe.
From 18th to 20th of June, the mission "Business Opportunities Costa Rica- Colombia: Free Trade, investment and green business", will be in search of new business deals and will promote the country's export supply.
In the first trade mission of this type, organized by the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (Procomer) the companies taking part include: RainForest Water, Sweet Well, Orgánicos Ecogreen, Alimentos Kamuk, Cafe Britt, Manza-Tea, Bufete Arias & Muñoz, Ampo and MicroTechnologies.
Eleven companies from different sectors will visit Cuba on the first week of November.
5 of these companies will participate in La Habana International Fair (Fihnav), from November 2 to 7. These are Corporación Pipasa, Plásticos Puente, Leogar, CVG Alunasa and Maluquer.
"These companies (with the exception of Maluquer) will also take part of the first trade mission to Cuba organized by Procomer, the exports promotion authority.
Ampo, a Costa Rican manufacturer of office supplies, has received a US$1.2 million loan from the Inter-American Investment Bank (IIC), the private-sector branch of the Inter-American Development Bank.
The loan is the first to be granted to a Costa Rican company under the IIC's Finpyme scheme for small businesses.
Ampo makes files, folders and other articles in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama.
