Starting April chambers of commerce in the region will be providing free training on phytosanitary controls, management at border posts and customs procedures for exporting firms.

As of April, the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica will be running a training program on trade facilitation for the public and private sector, within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed between the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Central America (FECAMCO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement the USAID Regional Project on Trade and Market Partnerships.
Training is being provided in Guatemala on Central American Technical Regulations for companies exporting food and beverages.

In order to expand knowledge and provide updates on general and nutritional labeling, and food additives for the processed foods and beverages industry, among other things; the Committee on Food and Beverages at AGEXPORT with support from the Department of Food Control Regulation of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, will be holding a training Workshop on Central American Technical Regulations (RTCA by its initials in Spanish).
On November 25th in Guatemala a seminar will be given on policy and tariff and non-tariff regulations which must be taken into consideration by companies that trade with Mexico.

In order to publicize the regulations, tariff and non-tariff rules which must be complied with by Guatemalan companies trading with the Mexican market, the School of Foreign Trade -AGEXPORT- will be holding a seminar on customs procedures for doing business with Mexico, Export / Import .
On August 26th training will be provided in Guatemala on the features, requirements and conditions for selling products in the Mexican market.

Overcoming obstacles which have traditionally limited Guatemalan exports to Mexico, being aware of and taking advantage of opportunities in the Mexican market through strategic alliances which will help you to be efficient in the export process, minimizing risks, time and resources are some of the goals of the Workshop on Innovative Strategies to Start or Increase Your Exports to Mexico, an activity organized by the School of Foreign Trade -AGEXPORT-, and which will take place on August 26, 2014.
Free training will be given on how to complete the Verification of Origin Questionnaire and EUR-1 Movement Certificate for exporting to the EU.

In order to provide an information service to exporters regarding the Origin Verification Questionnaire and EUR-1 Movement Certificate, through the medium of SEADEX WEB, the Single Window for Export, VUPE, at AGEXPORT, free training sessions will be given on days 9, 15 and 22 of January 2014, for companies exporting to the EU so that they can enrich their knowledge about filling in the questionnaire.
