Manufexport 2012, the manufacturing industry trade show opened last night at Casa Santo Domingo, Antigua Guatemala, where about 115 buyers from around the world have gathered together along with 180 companies presenting the best of their products.
From 11 to 13 July the sixth edition of the manufacturing fair will be held in Antigua, Guatemala, which will also the host the Lac Flavors event by the IDB.
The Guatemalan Exporters Association, AGEXPORT, presents the MANUFEXPORT International Fair 2012, Retail Supply Expo & Conference, an event designed to promote greater competitiveness in the manufacturing sector in Central America and expand business opportunities internationally.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture has officially announced EXPOCOMER 2013, to be held from 17 to 20 April 2013 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) officially announced this afternoon its pinnacle event, EXPOCOMER 2013, to be held from 17 to 20 April 2013 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.
The tourism event will be held from 28 to 29 September and will involve wholesale businesses from America, Europe and the Caribbean.
The organizers are expecting a hundred wholesalers from America, Europe and the Caribbean to attend the third edition of International Tourism Expo.
The activity will be held from 28 to 29 September this year at a convention center in Panama City, where 50 percent of available spaces have already been reserved, according to the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture in Panama, as reported by Pananaamerica.com.pa.

The main objective of this fifth edition of the Central American Food Industry and its Suppliers, entitled 'Tecnoalimentaria 2012', is to train and mechanize the production and distribution of the confectionery sector, in order to consolidate and exploit its potential.
Sales of $50 million are expected and the event will include the participation of companies from Latin America and the Caribbean, including Panama and Costa Rica.
The 2012 edition of the ‘Expo-Alimentos ‘ (Food Expo), the premier food event in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, will generate sales of about $50 million, said Horacio Figueroa, president of the company organizing the show to EFE.
Disinterest and a change of plans by organizers has forced Salvadoran authorities to cancel their participation in two events.
The Investment Promotion Agency (Proesa) of El Salvador had to cancel participation in two fairs planned for April.
Those are, OutSource2LAC, scheduled for 12th and 13th of this month, the date was changed by the organizers themselves, said Giovanni Berti, director of the agency.
On 13th and 14th June an event entitled "Nicaragua, the Right Step for Footwear Manufacturing" will bring together industry associations, manufacturers of global brands and international buyers.
The global forum for the footwear industry, "Nicaragua, The Right Step” will bring together 30 participants from Brazil, the USA, Italy and Central America.
The event ‘Expo Logistica’ will be held at the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama, on the 11th and 12th of October 2012.

"EXPO Panama has managed in its five previous versions, to position itself as one of the three major exhibitions in the region and we aim to continue to grow and professionalize the industry locally and internationally via this important series of conferences", said Albert White Eagle, President of the Organizing Committee of EXPO Panama 2012. "The exhibition took an international turn last year when it received representatives from 20 countries, counting both exhibitors and visitors", said White.
In the two days of meetings representatives from 247 companies negotiated sales of $25 million, surpassing previous figures.
The product which made the most sales was coffee at 55%, followed by fruits and vegetables with 22%, said Azucena Castillo, general manager of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua (APEN).
"APEN believes that not only was the show successful but also the Third Central American Congress of Food Science and Technology, which brought together 33 international experts, who gave 23 specialized lectures to domestic producers", writes Gisella Canales for La Prensa.
Representatives from companies providing products and technology services in the region are meeting in Guatemala.
Sectors being promoted in the event include sustainable tourism, health and wellbeing tourism, laboratories, contact centers, digital content development, and software.
Companies from Guatemala, Central America and Peru since yesterday, September 29, have held negotiations with 34 foreign buyers.
The event will take place between 4th to 7th October 2011 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.
The 1st. MesoAmerican Business Meeting will bring together businessmen from Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, The Dominican Republic and Mexico to present products, conduct business meetings and understand the business needs of each of these countries as well as being informed about legal requirements and success stories of foreign companies doing business in the region.
The event was attended by 150 local and foreign companies running 230 booths, and around 3,000 business meetings were conducted.

• Panama EXPO 2011 received more than 7,000 visitors and tripled its size with a total of 230 exhibition modules, attended by 150 local and foreign companies who had the opportunity to make nearly 3,000 business contacts.
Businessmen from China and the region will be take part in the traditional activity.
For the third consecutive year government representatives from China are in Guatemala City to celebrate Expo China, an event where entrepreneurs from China and several countries in the region can meet.
The event will promote China's investment in the isthmus, which until now has been growing moderately.
