Imports in the sector continue to rise, since from January to September 2020, companies from Central American countries imported $367 million in laptops and similar devices, 14% more than in the same period of 2020.

Between January and June 2017, countries in the region imported $176 million worth of laptops and similar devices, and the value purchased from Mexico grew by 13%.
