Stryker, a medical technology company, opened a new financial services center to be located in the province of Heredia, from where it will support all its financial activities in the Americas.
The operation is in San Antonio Business Park, in Heredia, where the company opened its offices since last April, according to official information.
The company announced that the new service center specializing in finance and accounting, which will be in Heredia, arises as a result of an alliance with the chain Walmart.
Genpact, a multinational professional services company dedicated to digital transformation, reported that from its new service center in Costa Rica, will support Walmart's operations in Latin America.

San José, Costa Rica. November 5, 2018.Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, announced it will open an office in Costa Rica, as it creates a hub for finance activities and services.
Johnson Controls has started operating a new service center in San José, from where it will provide assistance to its clients in the real estate industry.
The company AstraZeneca has announced the start-up of a financial services center in Costa Rica, from where it will provide support to the company's operations in Latin America.
A statement issued by the CINDE states that the service center will be named Integrated Finance Solutions (IFS) Americas Center, and will be located in Escazú, where the pharmaceutical company already has its regional offices for Central America, Caribbean Ecuador and Peru.
Merck Sharp and Dohme are setting up a regional financial services center in Heredia in order to support the company's operations in Latin America.

San Jose, June 28th 2017. MSD will establish a Regional Center for Financial Services in Costa Rica to support the company's operations in Latin America.
The service sector closed 2011 with $397.3 million, 20% more than in 2010, according to the Guatemalan Association of Exporters.
The Contact Center industry accounted for 49% of the growth, equivalent to $194.4 million.
The Commission on Contact Centers & BPO’s at Agexport, has estimated growth for next year of nearly 20%.
"This sector has been one of the most dynamic in the service sector and its huge impact on mass employment generation makes up nearly 50% of the total export value. This confirms that promoting this industry gives a significant enhancement to the contribution given to Guatemalan people in terms of employment and boosts the economy", said the Chairman of the Commission on Contact Centers & BPO’s, Germain Lopez
Even though an 8% decrease in tourism is estimated, it would be offset by the digital advertising, financial support and software sectors.
Data generated by CINDE, the Costa Rican Promoter of Foreign Trade (PROCOMER) and the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR) are predicting an 8% decline in tourism earnings, while other exporters of services, both local and foreign, will grow by 13% when compared to 2008.
