In order to optimize the services offered to users and the general public, the Public Registry of Panama, within the framework of modernization, will run the Registry Electronic Registration System (CRS), a new technology platform that will provide greater legal certainty over private property and other rights on goods which are registered with the entity.

The government of Honduras has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank to partially finance the cost of BID-2467/BL-HO project "Improvement of the Customs Office in Puerto Cortés" and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to make payments under the contract "Acquisition of Recruitment Services, Assessment and Selection of Professionals to work in the Directorate of Revenue."
The plan by the Tax Administration requires an investment of $20 million for the purchase of technological systems using scanners and electronic vehicle tax discs.
The Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT) announced that it intends to submit a modernization plan for the customs offices of Santo Tomas, Central Customs, Puerto Quetzal, Tecum Uman and Pedro de Alvarado.

The National Port Company has announced it will invest $5 million in the modernization of the tourist port of San Jorge, on Lake Nicaragua.

The CEO of the National Port Authority said the project at the Port of San Jorge includes expanding the current breakwater, making another breakwater parallel to it measuring 350 meters long, and dredged to a depth of five meters so that there will not be any further problems with sedimentation.
With a loan from the Development Bank of Latin America, the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers will make improvements to the sanitation system in four provinces.
The resources will be used to improve drinking water and basic sanitation in the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí, Veraguas and Panama and the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers will execute the project.
