In the first quarter of the year, Costa Rica imported $8 million worth of aluminum and its manufactures from the Asian country, 47% more than in the same period in 2017.

During the first two months of 2018, countries in the region imported $7 million worth of aluminum and its manufactures from Mexico, and 49% was purchased by companies in Costa Rica and Guatemala.

In 2017, Central America countries imported $96 million worth of various common metal manufactures from Mexico, 14% more than what was purchased in 2016.
