The First Congress of Tourism Integration will be held on the March 22nd and 23rd in Panama City, with the objective of establishing a road map for the sector.
With this conference the Tourism Authority of Panama is aiming to bring together the different players in the industry in order to establish the roadmap for the sector.
"... Twelve workshops will be held, each relating to a market segment.The idea is that each workshop presents the current situation in its segment, holds a debate and draws conclusions which can be translated into action, " said Alfredo Motta, event organizer to Laestrella.com.pa.
The Maya Medical Travel Summit will be held on 17th and 18th of July and will offer conferences and business meetings with representatives from companies.
El Salvador Medical Holding (ESMH) will hold a medical tourism congress called "Maya Medical Travel Summit" on the 17th and 18th of July in the Central American nation.
"The meeting will include lectures on medical tourism, business conferences, workshops and visits by international facilitators, who are responsible for sending patients to destinations that offer these services."
The event will bring together 250 companies from the medical and tourism sectors and will be held from 24 to 26 April 2013, at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort Hotel in Costa Rica.
For the fourth consecutive year, Costa Rica will host the Latin American Congress of Medical Tourism, an event organized by the Council for the International Promotion of Costa Rican Medicine (PROMED).
In Costa Rica there are 17 companies with a seal of approval for this activity.
The International Council for the Promotion of Medicine in Costa Rica (Promed) awarded the companies Advance Dental, Prisma Dental, Instituto Flikier de Rehabilitación Oral and Dentavac the quality seal during inauguration of the Third Latin American Congress of Medical Tourism on Monday.
Competing with giants like Mexico and Brazil, Costa Rica managed to attract 40,000 health tourists in 2010 and hopes to attract more with a variety of value added medical tourism offers.
Emphasizing treatments for Parkinsons, drug addiction, alcoholism and stress, including holistic therapies, Costa Rica is aiming to maximise opportunities in medical tourism, which attracted some 40,000 visitors in 2010, according to the Council for International Promotion of Medicine in Costa Rica (Promed).
About 200 companies will have the opportunity to make business contacts at the third Latin American Medical Tourism Congress, to be held from April 23rd to 25th.
"The congress will promote business development between suppliers and buyers of medical and dental services in the U.S., Canada and other countries", announced the organizers, through the wire agency ACAN-EFE.
Organized by the Council for the International Promotion of Costa Rican Medicine, the third Latin American Medical Tourism Congress will be held from the 23rd to 25th April, 2012.
The event will be held at the Hotel Real Intercontinental and is expected to be attended by 500 guests.
Jorge Cortes, president of the International for the International Promotion of Costa Rican Medicine (Promed in Spanish) told Elfinancierocr.com, "For the third time Costa Rica will host the biggest event in medical tourism in Latin America. We hope to have more than 500 attendees and that Costa Rica witll further consolidate itself as the leading destination in the region in terms of health travel. "
The third Medical Travel Conference will be held from 23 to 25 April, 2012.
The event is organized by the International Council for the Promotion of Medicine in Costa Rica (PROMED) and the Costa Rican tourist board.
Massimo Manzi, PROMED’s chief executive, said they expect the participation of more than 500 people, and that the event will take place at the Inter-Continental Hotel in San Jose.
It will take place from April 26 to 28, 2010 in the Hotel Ramada Herradura.
The event will be attended by around 350 companies from the health services industries, from over 20 different countries.
"It will include a series of conferences and business rounds to showcase what Costa Rica has to offer, mainly to the U.S. and Europe markets", reported Elfinancierocr.com.
On October 6th and 7th, Costa Rican Medical Care will hold a medical tourism conference in San José, Costa Rica.
Costa Rican Medical Care, a division of the HSA Clearing Corp., works with three private hospitals in Costa Rica in offering their services to North American clients.
