The consumer price index showed a variation of 0.57% compared to December 2016 and an interannual variation of 0.66%.

In November the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of 0.27%, making inflation accumulated so far this year 2.31%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.27 percent (0.36% in November 2015), mainly explained by the behavior of prices of some goods and services in the divisions of Food and alcoholic drinks (0.22%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.86%); and Recreation and culture (1.93%), which together contributed 0.224 percentage points to the observed variation.In contrast, the division of Transport, showed a variation of -1.00 percent (-0,074pp).

The Central Bank of Honduras reported that in November the monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 0.14%, an increase associated with the price increase in fuel and clothing. This means that annual inflation stands at 3.04%, higher than the amount observed in the same month of the previous year (2.10%); similarly, accumulated inflation was 3.04%.
In October, the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of 0.31%, accumulating inflation so far this year of 2.03%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.31 percent (0.43% in October 2015), mainly explained by the behavior of prices on some goods and services in the divisions of Transportation (2, 04%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.81%), and furniture, household goods and items for household maintenance (0.59%), which together contributed 0.260 percentage points to the observed variation.In contrast, the division of Recreation and culture, showed a variation of -2.10 percent (-0.080 pp).
In September the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of -0.21% and inflation accumulated so far this year of 3.11%.
A report by the National Institute of Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index for September 2016 stood at 125.46, recording a monthly variation of -0.21%, and compared to September last year the variation was 4.56%.
In May the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.46%, with inflation accumulated so far this year being 1.97%.

"... The monthly variation recorded in May 2016 was 0.46%, which shows an acceleration in the price level, of 0.26, compared to May 2015 (0.20%). The monthly variation recorded in May 2016 is the second highest in the months of May and the period 2009-2015 is 0.27 above the average of 0.19 for the aforementioned period."
In March the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.21% compared to February, placing accumulated inflation at 1.26%.

In April 2016, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) denoted a monthly growth of 0.21%, mainly associated with the increase in the prices of fuel and health services. This result was lower than the increase recorded in April 2015 (0.25%).
In April, the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.17%, accumulating inflation in the first three months of the year of 1.50%.

The monthly variation of 0.17% in April 2016, shows a slowdown compared to April 2015 (0.34%), while cumulative and annual variation recorded an acceleration in price levels.
In December, the CPI registered a variation of 0.98%, accumulating inflation of 3.05% throughout the year, well below the 6.48% recorded in the same period in 2014.
The Central Bank reported that the monthly inflation in December was 0.98% (-0.07% in December 2014). This increase was driven mainly by higher prices in the divisions of food and nonalcoholic beverages (1.20%), recreation and culture (5.77%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (2.24%), with a joint contribution of 0.844 percentage points to the observed variation.
In September the consumer price index recorded a negative variation of 0.03%, and accumulated inflation of 1.63% in the first nine months of the year.
The Consumer Price Index for September 2015 registered a monthly variation of -0.03%, and compared to September last year the change was 1.88%, according to data from a monthly report by the National Statistics and Census Institute .
