In July, the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of 0.32%, accumulating inflation of 2.40% so far this year.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.32 percent (-0.21% in July2015), mainly explained by the behavior of prices of some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non - alcoholic beverages (0.44%), Health (1.15%), and Recreation and culture (1.36%), which together contributed 0.266 percentage points (pp) to the observed variation. In contrast, the division of Transport, showed a variation of -0.90 percent (-0.065 pp).
In June, the consumer price index recorded a drop of 0.10%, accumulating inflation of 2.06% so far this year.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of -0.10 percent (-0.02% in June 2015), mainly explained by the performance of prices of some goods and services in the divisions of Food and non alcoholic beverages (-0.79%), Communications (-1.28%), and Recreation and culture (-0.31%), which together contributed -0.334 percentage points to the observed variation.In contrast, in the division of Housing, water electricity, gas and other fuels there was a variation of 0.97 percent (0.082 pp).
In May the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.57%, with accumulated inflation so far this year being 2.17%.

In contrast the category of Communications showed the opposite behavior with a variation of -0.07 percent (-0.002 pp).
In April, the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.14%, accumulating inflation so far this year of 1.59%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a monthly variation of 0.14 percent (0.20% in December 2015), mainly explained by increased prices of some goods and services in the categories of Transportation (2, 03%), Housing, water, electricity gas and other fuels (0.65%) and Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.39%), which together contributed 0.224 percentage points to the variation observed.
In March the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.63%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 1.45%.

In February, the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.93%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 0.81%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 0.93% (0.72% in December 2015), mainly explained by increased prices on some goods and services in the divisions of food and nonalcoholic beverages (0.93%), education (6.15%) and restaurants and hotels (1.69%), which together contributed 0.866 percentage points to the observed variation.
In January, the CPI registered a variation of 0.11% and annual inflation stood at 3.19%, 2.26% lower than the figure for January 2015.
The Central Bank reported that the monthly inflation in January reflected a monthly variation of -0.11% (-0.25% in December 2015), mainly explained by lower prices in some goods and services in the divisions of recreation and culture (-6.69%), transport (-1.36%) and education (-0.22%), which together contributed -0.373% to the observed variation. In contrast the division of restaurants and hotels showed the opposite behavior with a variation of 0.59% (0,064pp).
In December, the CPI registered a variation of 0.98%, accumulating inflation of 3.05% throughout the year, well below the 6.48% recorded in the same period in 2014.
The Central Bank reported that the monthly inflation in December was 0.98% (-0.07% in December 2014). This increase was driven mainly by higher prices in the divisions of food and nonalcoholic beverages (1.20%), recreation and culture (5.77%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (2.24%), with a joint contribution of 0.844 percentage points to the observed variation.
In November, the CPI registered a variation of 0.36%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 2.06%, well below the 6.55% recorded in the same period in 2014.

This inflation was mainly determined by the increase in prices in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.38%), restaurants and hotels (0.55%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.37%), with a joint contribution of 0.228 percentage points to the observed variation.
In October, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.43%, exceeding the 0.17% recorded in the same period in 2014.
October´s monthly inflation stood at 0.43% (0.17% in December 2014). The monthly inflation rate was mainly determined by an increase in prices in categories of food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.52%), restaurants and hotels (0.72%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.81%), with a joint contribution of 0.336 percentage points to the observed variation, according to the Central Bank.
In September the consumer price index recorded a negative variation of 0.08%, well below the 4.91% recorded in the same period in 2014.
Monthly inflation in September stood at -0.08% (-0.11% in December 2014). The Central Bank of Nicaragua reports that the monthly inflation rate was mainly determined by lower prices in the divisions of transport (-2.78%), recreation and culture (-0.89%) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.01% ), with a joint contribution of -0248 percentage points to the observed variation.
In August, the CPI registered a negative variation of 0.01%, accumulating so far this year inflation of 1.34%, well below the 5% measured in the same period in 2014.

Monthly inflation in August was -0.01 percent (0.32% in December 2014). The monthly inflation rate was mainly determined by lower prices in the divisions of transport (-2.30%) and; food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.20%) beverages, contributing -0254 whole percentage points to the observed variation.
In July, the consumer price index recorded a decline of 0.21%, placing accumulated inflation for the year at 1.35%, well below the 4.69% acumulated up to July 2014.

July's monthly inflation stood at -0.21 percent (0.51% in December 2014), determined mainly by lower prices in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages (-1.02%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.21%) and; communications (-0.49%); which together contributed -0406 percentage points to the observed variation. It is noteworthy that this decrease was partially offset by higher prices in the divisions of restaurants and hotels; recreation and culture, which together contributed 0.124 percentage points. In accumulated terms national inflation was registered at 1.35 percent (4.69% in July 2014), primarily reflecting the combined effect of the reduction in the rate of the division of food and drinks, and the price increase in the divisions of restaurants and hotels; transportation and education. Finally, annual inflation stood at 3.08 percent, 3.86 percentage points lower than in July 2014 (6.94%), while core inflation recorded 6.80 percent (4.72% in July 2014).
In June, the consumer price index fell by 0.02%, placing accumulated inflation in the first half of the year at 1.56%, down from 4.16% in the same month in 2014.

June's monthly inflation stood at -0.02%, achieved mainly by lower prices in the divisions of food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.39%), recreation and culture (-1.98%) and; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.50%), according to the latest inflation report published by the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN) on July 6, 2015.
The consumer price index in May registered a variation of 0.51%, accumulating growth of 2.79% in the year.

In May monthly inflation stood at 0.51 percent (0.94% in December 2014), determined mainly by price increases in the divisions of transport (2.37%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.29%); and recreation and culture (2.85%); which together contributed 0.389 percentage points to the observed variation. In contrast, the communications division showed the opposite behavior, reflecting a variation of -0.95 percent, with a contribution of -0024 pp.
