In San Salvador, construction began on a 20-story tower that will house clinics, specialized medical centers and office space related to the sector's business, such as pharmaceutical, insurance and medical equipment companies.
The project called "Torre Humana" which is developed by Calidad Inmobiliaria, is currently in the demolition stage of the existing infrastructure on the site to be built.
The Ministry of Health of Nicaragua tenders the equipment of the Carlos Centeno Primary Hospital, in the municipality of Siuna.

The Congress has ratified a loan with the Inter-American Development Bank to build two hospitals and make improvements to the health system.
The Legislative Assembly reported that "... After constant approaches to achieve the required consensus, the Legislative Assembly unanimously ratified the loan contract between the Executive and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for $170 million to finance the Integrated Health Program II. With the resources it will be possible, among other things, to carry out construction of a new Rosales Hospital and a General Hospital in the northern zone of San Salvador in Nejapa."
The Ministry of Health in El Salvador is putting out to tender a supply of ambulances and medical and clinical equipment for the National Maternity Hospital.

The government has announced investments in medical equipment for the 30 existing hospitals and the construction of two in La Union and San Miguel, plus an ophthalmology center.

The Minister of Health, Violeta Menjivar, announced major health projects to be run by the government this year, among which is the inauguration of the National Hospital of La Union, whose total investment will be $16 million.
