The National Roads Authority of Costa Rica is putting out to tender infrastructure on the North American Highway, Section: Canas-Liberia, National Road No. 1.
The international tender is for the design and construction of three intersections (A. Canas, B. Bagaces and C. Liberia) on the North American Highway, Section: Canas-Liberia, National Road No. 1.
The National Roads Authority of Costa Rica has created a tender for hiring Conservation Road Managers for the National Road Network across the country.
According to the specifications of the tender:
Road managers will perform, as a minimum, the activities listed below, in order to fully achieve the goals of the contract.
-Actively participate in risk prevention and attention to emergencies which occur in the domestic network.
The Executive Committee of the Lempa River Hydroelectric Station in El Salvador has put out to tender the reconstruction of access roads to the Hydroelectric station El Chaparral.
According to the tender specifications:
The project consists of performing reconstruction works on the
existing road surface rolling, as well as drainage works and all works necessary to improve the functioning of the access road to the El Chaparral dam site, which connects the municipalities: El Triunfo, Sesori, San Luis de la Reina and the Canton San Antonio Las Iglesias. In addition, reconstruction work must be carried out on the section of road connecting the town of San Antonio del Mosco and the hamlet of Santa Rosa.
The Road Maintenance Fund (FOMAV) is tendering the works in three tranches under the Road Maintenance Plan for 2012.
The Road Maintenance Fund (FOMAV) will invest 855 million cordobas ($ 37 million) to attend to 3350 km of roads and highways nationwide during 2012.
With the aim of stating work in January next year, the institution is currently developing the first National Public Tender Process, consisting of 940 km of roads and highways with an investment of 307 million cordobas to be used on construction works and supervision services.
The tender is for the design, financing, construction and operation of the 392 kilometer corridor for a period of 40 years.

The Commission for the Promotion of Public-Private Partnership (COALIANZA), invites interested companies to participate in an international public tender to grant in concession the Logistical Corridor between Goascorán - Villa de San Antonio, San Pedro Sula - Puerto Cortes and Tegucigalpa - Villa de San Antonio.
The tender is to improve terraced rural roads in the departments of Izabal, El Progreso and Santa Rosa.
According to the tender specifications the work covers some 122 kms, distributed as 26.41 km in the department of Santa Rosa, 72.72 km in Izabal and 22.87 km in El Progreso.
The contract period is for eighteen calendar months, which will start five days after the contract has been signed.
The Ministry of Public Works has announced a program of intensive public works tenders which will run up until December 2011.

The total amount to be tendered is approximately $113 million, which will bring enormous benefits to people as sources of direct and indirect employment, as well as strengthening the business sector, providing new infrastructure that will support development, protect life and economic activity.
After two tenders were declared void the 12 companies who showed interest in the avenue project will be invited to participate again.
The new regulations for the tender will be issued by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), who will also fund and supervise the initiative.

As part of the revitalization program of tenders for investments in public works, the Government of El Salvador through the Ministry of Public Works, reported the start of an international tender for the construction and supervision of two major projects: the completion of the By Pass in Ciudad de Usulután and construction of the San Isidro Bridge over the Lempa River, between the departments of La Libertad and Chalatenango.
The Ministry of Public Works has put out to tender the design and construction works for the renovation and widening of the highway between Paso Canoas - Puerto Armuelles.
According to the project description the work consists of the following:
The study, final design and construction for the renovation and widening of the road, which consists of renovation of the existing road surface, placing a layer of concrete-asphalt and the construction of two new lanes parallel to the existing road with flexible pavement, for a total of four lanes. In addition, the project includes the demolition, removal or relocation of obstructions, construction of hard shoulders, asphalt, construction of pedestrian overpasses, construction of vehicular bridges, relocation of public and private utilities, construction and improvements to the drainage system, vertical and horizontal road markings, construction of lay-bys, construction of returns, construction of acceleration and deceleration lanes, improvements to intersections connecting to existing neighborhoods, and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) with the implementation of the measures derived from it, etc.
The Honduran Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Housing has put out a tender for resurfacing works on the Olanchito - San Lorenzao road.
According to the specifications, the tender is for the 47km of resurfacing on the Olanchito - San Lorenzo highway, in the Department of Yoro.
Currently the stretch of road between the communities of San Lorenzo and Olanchito has a sub-base, creating poor conditions for traffic due to rainfall in this sector making it very costly to keep the road in optimal conditions.
The Ministry of Public Works has put out to tender the project entitled: "Design and Construction for the expansion to four lanes of the Panamamericana Highway from Santiago to David"
Panamanian media report that the date of the solicitation has not yet been defined and there are no cost estimates, an area which the Ministry of Public Works is currently working on.
The Government will invest $2.6 million in the repair of more than 6 miles of road.
As part of the work to be undertaken this year on different arteries of the country's road system, the government, using the Road Maintenance Fund (Fovial), will begin repair of the boulevard, which reached the end of its lifespan several years ago.
Additionally, the government will make repairs to other major routes in the capital, such as the Santa Tecla, among others.
The Ministry of Public Works is putting out to tender the construction of a tunnel and the redevelopment of the runway at the Rio Hato airport.
The tender is for the design and construction of the Panamerican Highway Tunnel and the redevelopment of the airport runway in Rio Hato Scarlett Martinez, Province of Cocle.
The approval meeting is scheduled for 1st of June and bids must be submitted by June 16, 2011.
