The Ministry of Public Works informed that Constructora ECON, Disa S.A. de C.V., Constructora MECO, Gabriel Couto S.A. and Constructora Hidalgo e Hidalgo, submitted their proposals to widen from 2 to 4 lanes of the Pan-American Highway (CA-1) from the detour to Moncagua, kilometer 128.31, until the beginning of the Bypass in El Obrajuelo, in a 3.46 kilometers length.

The Road Maintenance Fund is preparing a tender to build an over pass at the UN roundabout in San Salvador.
It is envisaged that on April 14 offers will be received from the institutions interested in carrying out the work in the arena of the United Nations, at the southern end of Jerusalen Avenue. Authorities from the Road Maintenance Fund (FOVIAL) revealed that environmental permits have already been granted.
The Ministry of Public Works, Transport, Housing and Urban Development of El Salvador is putting out to tender the construction and supervision of complementary works on improving tertiary road works on route SAV295.

A tender is being launched for the construction of three underpasses in high cargo traffic areas in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador.
The projects already have the respective designs and refer to the Naciones Unidas and Masferrer roundabouts in the south and north ends of Jerusalem Avenue and at the intersection of highway and street Huizúcar Comalapa. The investment for the construction of three underpasses is around $25 million.
The contracts are for patching work, supervision, resurfacing of roads and main pathways, and bridge maintenance, among other things, on the national road network.
The Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV) is inviting bids for 430 road maintenance projects, through the Road Maintenance Fund, in which about $100 million will be invested.
