The Ministry of Public Works plans to tender in February improvement works on a 9-kilometer section of the road to the Fort of San Lorenzo, in Chagres, province of Colon.
From a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works:
The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) will be calling for bids for the "Renovation of the road to the Fort of San Lorenzo, Chagres district, in the province of Colon", this relates to about 8.6 kilometers that will be serviced, with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
A tender is being launched for a feasibility study to expand a 22-kilometer section of the El Litoral highway between the Zacatecoluca and Tecoluca municipalities to four lanes.
The Ministry of Public Works plans to extend the stretch from Zacatecoluca, La Paz, to San Marcos Lempa, San Vicente, to two lanes in each direction.
The government has announced that it will be inviting bids for a new contract for the program to service the road network, comprising of pothole repairs, and reconstruction of sewers and sidewalks, among other works.

The Ministry of Public Works is planning to tender in November the study, design and construction of a road from Potrerillo Arriba to Palmira Abajo, in Chiriqui.

A new 9.70 kilometer road will be built by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) to connect the communities of Potrerillo Arriba to Palmira Abajo in the district of Boquete, Chiriqui province.
The Ministry of Public Works plans to tender the construction of an overpass on the road known as "rotondas" in October, in order for work to start in January 2017.
A statement by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport said that"...This work is part of the modernization of the ring road, which will also impact the University of Costa Rica, Rotonda de la Bandera and Guadalupe, where overpasses will also be built."
The Ministry of Public Works is preparing designs and tender documents for the construction of 70 kilometers of road between Barranca and Cañas, Guanacaste.
The Minister of Public Works and Transport said that in order to avoid managing a lot of contracts for different sections of the work, 70 kilometers will be separated into three sections, which will be tendered separately and will include all parts of the project (bridges, interchanges and road).
An announcement has been made of the renovation of 130 kilometers of road and the start of analysis necessary to prepare the tender for the extension of 33 kilometers from the Concepcion-Volcan highway.

Preparations are being made for a tender to be launched in April for the design and construction of production roads from El Pepino - Ciricito - Los Cedros del Lago - El Congo, in the province of Colon.

By next April, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), plans to launch a best value tender for the Design and Construction of the Roads: El Pepino - Ciricito - Los Cedros del Lago - El Congo, in the province of Colon.
The construction of an overpass near Rancho Navarra, in San Salvador, is estimated at $25 million and could be tendered in the first half of this year.
The project is for an aerial roundabout that would connect La Cima to Vista Hermosa, in addition to providing a pedestrian crossing. Construction could start in the second half of this year, according to the Ministry of Public Works.
The Ministry of Public Works is preparing the tender specifications for construction, in four sections, of a 75 kilometer road in the province of Darien.

The deadline for submission of bids is July 15, 2015.
The government plans to invest $45 million in the renovation of existing Metro "pay zones" and in the construction of six new ones in the metropolitan area.
It is expected that in May the conditions of the first two tenders will be announced, which include "... the renovation of 17 existing pay zones, while the second will be for maintenance and security, valid for one year." For the tender for the construction of new stops there is still no estimated date, as they are awaiting urban mobility studies in order to define their locations.
It has been announced that it will be built north of the Bridge of the Americas and the tender conditions will be published in the next sixty days.

The fourth bridge over the Panama Canal will be built north of the Bridge of the Americas, announced the High Level Interagency Commission for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Canal and Line 3 of the Metro, headed by the President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez.
Although the tender is scheduled for the second half of the year, the Panamanian government is already promoting the work among firms in Europe and the United States.
Authorities at the Ministry of Public Works have promoted the project with companies from Germany, Italy and the US, with the aim of getting them to take part in the tender process for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal, over which the Monorail Line 3 of the Panama Metro will pass.
