Tender specifications are beign prepared for work on the expansion to four lanes of several sections of roads and construction of 200 kms of roads and internal roads in the district of La Chorrera.

During the Cabinet Council held in the school Moisés Castillo Ocaña in La Chorrera, the Minister of Public Works, Ramon Arosemena Crespo announced the widening to four lanes from the Market of La Chorrera to the Nicolas Solano Hospital, and also the expansion to four lanes of the road going from the old road to sector Vacamonte.
The Ministry of Public Works is preparing the tender specifications for construction, in four sections, of a 75 kilometer road in the province of Darien.

The government plans to invest $45 million in the renovation of existing Metro "pay zones" and in the construction of six new ones in the metropolitan area.
It is expected that in May the conditions of the first two tenders will be announced, which include "... the renovation of 17 existing pay zones, while the second will be for maintenance and security, valid for one year." For the tender for the construction of new stops there is still no estimated date, as they are awaiting urban mobility studies in order to define their locations.
It has been announced that it will be built north of the Bridge of the Americas and the tender conditions will be published in the next sixty days.

The fourth bridge over the Panama Canal will be built north of the Bridge of the Americas, announced the High Level Interagency Commission for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Canal and Line 3 of the Metro, headed by the President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez.
Although the tender is scheduled for the second half of the year, the Panamanian government is already promoting the work among firms in Europe and the United States.
Authorities at the Ministry of Public Works have promoted the project with companies from Germany, Italy and the US, with the aim of getting them to take part in the tender process for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal, over which the Monorail Line 3 of the Panama Metro will pass.

During a session of the Cabinet Council held at the Center for Basic Education General IPT Marcos Alarcon Metetí, province of Darien, President Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez announced the tender for the Agua Fria-Yaviza road and execution of projects with high community impact during 2015 worth approximately $81.4 million, with the aim of optimizing the fundamental basic services and integrating Darien province into national development.
Renovations, reconstruction of drainage works, road redesign, installation of lighting and traffic signals are part of the work is the tender to be realised in the coming months.
The first works include maintenance for the section between Plaza Agora in Pueblo Nuevo, and the district of Los Andes in Omar Torrijos and represent an investment of $15 million.
