In Honduras, the National Congress approved a decree that guarantees the investment of $20 million in a series of road infrastructure projects in the city of La Ceiba.
The decree contemplates that the funds will be used to build the extension of "Calle 8" with two lanes starting from "La Amistad" Boulevard, connected to the street that leads to the Air Base, including a grade change that connects with the CA-13 highway, reported the National Congress.

The CABEI granted the Honduran government a loan for the construction of a 5.3 km stretch of four lanes that will connect Tegucigalpa with the CA-5 South Highway.

Tegucigalpa, December 17th, 2018. The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) provided financing to the Republic of Honduras for approximately US$44 million to support the project "Libramiento Anillo Periférico-Carretera CA-5 Sur."

Honduras Government Purchase LPN-DGC-UCP-005-2016:
Five companies submitted bids of between $5.3 million and $6.1 million in the tender to build the Suyapa-Trapiche and Altos del Trapiche bridges, in the east of Tegucigalpa.
Of the six companies who were called on to participate in the tender, only five submitted bids: JF Construcciones presented a proposal for $5.6 million, Servicios de Mantenimiento y Construcciones Sermac bid $5.3 million, Empresa Santos y Compañía, $5.7 million while Eterna SA and Cerpic Construcciones submitted proposals for $6.1 million.
The government has signed a concession agreement with the company Autopistas del Atlántico SA to build a road measuring 105 kilometers with four lanes in the departments of Cortés, Yoro and Atlantis.
The project contract was awarded in concession to the company Autopistas del Atlántico SA, a consortium formed between the Honduran company Prodecon and the business group Grodco from Colombia.
