The works include laying pipes, unclassified excavation, paved ditches, laying a base layer, Portland concrete pavement, etc..
Spanish, Chinese and Costa Rican companies submitted bids for the expansion to four lanes of a 1.7 kilometer stretch of urban road.
The National Roads Authority (Conavi) received six bids for the proposed expansion and renovation of National Route 3, located from the intersection of the factory in Pozuelo Uruca to Jardines del Recuerdo at the Valencia de Heredia.
The Mexican company ICA, the Dominican La Estrella, the Chinese Sinohydro and two Costa Rican construction companies are bidding for road works projects worth $115 million.

Contracts for $922 million were awarded to five companies for expanding and renovating 185 kilometers of the Inter American Highway.
The value of the works has exceeded the estimate made by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of $750 million. The construction company Norberto Odebrecht was awarded 71.24 kilometers from Santiago- Vigui. Its financial proposal was $339.5 million and the MOP's reference price was $352.8 million.

Consorcio Ininco S.A. was the best qualified bidder in the tender for the works for improvement and expansion of the Amador Causeway.

The Ministry of Public Works today held the ceremony for opening the economic proposals for the best value tender for the study, design, partial financing, construction, improvement and extension of the causeway between Monumento a la Bandera and the Entry to Isla Flamenco.
The Road Maintenance Fund in El Salvador is preparing, for October, the biding processes for four overpasses in San Salvador.

The proposed expansion and rehabilitation of 185 kilometers of the Inter-American highway from Veraguas to Chiriqui is being divided into five parts to be tendered separately.
The information was released by the chief of Public Works, Jaime Ford. This amount is $100 million more than the $750 million suggested by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
