The Panamanian government issued a decree to raise from $60,000 to $70,000, the maximum price for a home to apply to the Solidarity Fund contribution.
Through this norm for the zone code RBS (Residencial Bono Solidario), the sale price for the housing unit and the lot cannot exceed the sum of $70,000 at the national level. Previously it was $60 thousand, for some provincial capitals, reported the Ministry of Housing and Land Management.
In Panama, the National Assembly authorized the transfer of $11 million to finance the rehabilitation of tourism projects in Isla Colón, the Antón Valley and the construction of the Boquete convention center.

Washington, March 15, 2018—The World Bank Board of Directors approved a US$80 million project today to improve the infrastructure and quality of health, education, water and sanitation services in 12 Indigenous territories of Panama. The innovative project is based on the priorities established by the Indigenous communities and their traditional leaders.
With a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank, a process to optimize the production and distribution system of drinking water in Panama will be implemented.
The program includes improving the management of the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewerage Systems (IDAAN) and the optimization of the system to produce and distribute potable water.The Government of Panama will contribute an additional US $5.5 million to the program, for a total value of US $255.5 million.
With IDB financing, renovation works will be carried out on the National Theater, a museum, fortifications in Portobelo and San Lorenzo and in national parks.

The CENA has issued a favorable opinion on two projects for loan contracts for the sum of 107 million dollars so that the IDB can partially finance execution of the program called "Support for the Conservation and Management of Cultural and Natural Heritage".
The Ministry of Environment has announced that using IADB funds, the infrastructure of four protected areas in the provinces of Veraguas, Colón and Chiriquí will be renovated.
According to the Environment Minister, Emilio Sempris, most of the funds will be invested in the Coiba de Veraguas National Park, which will be allocated about $27 million for the "construction and renovation of visitor sites, trails and the site's administrative centers."
The Development Bank of Latin America has confirmed another loan to finance the design and construction of the wastewater system in Arraiján and La Chorrera, in West Panama.
The funds will be executed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) through the Coordination Unit of the Panama Sanitation Program (UCP).This is the seventh approval of a credit operation of the CAF to support the execution of the Panama Sanitation Program, which with this new disbursement reaches a total financing amount of USD 628 million.The resources of this operation will be used for the design and construction of networks and sewage collectors, as well as domiciliary and intra-domiciliary connections that allow houses to be incorporated into the sanitation system.
With a loan from BCIE, the laboratories and biosafety buildings, the transport warehouse, the water treatment plant and the administration of the Campus Gorgas research center will be built.

The Cabinet Council at its meeting on Tuesday authorized the signing of a loan contract between the Republic of Panama and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) for the sum of 70 million balboas to partially finance the Gorgas Campus-Phase I Project.
The National Economic Council has authorized a $50 million loan with the European Investment Bank to finance part of the West-Burunga Panama Sanitation program.

The government is negotiating four loans totaling $245 million for social investment projects with three multilateral lenders.
In the Quarterly Report: Situation, evolution and risk of public financing in Panama", four loans with three entities are under negotiation: $50 million with the European Investment Bank, $70 million with the CABEI, and another two for $125 million with the Andean Development Corporation.
