An announcement has been made of a beta version of a digital platform for paperwork and export permits which is integrated with related institutions.

This morning (yesterday) PROCOMER launched the beta version of Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE) 2.0 a project that will revolutionize the export sector and domestic importer, offering an interoperable platform ( with approvals in minutes) between the 16 state institutions state that are involved in foreign trade procedures.
During 2012 Panama imported $180 million worth of items from the printing industry in Costa Rica, making the country the fifth largest supplier of these products.
The first places are occupied by U.S. with 41%, Mexico 8%, Colombia 5.6%, as well as Honduras and Costa Rica at 5%, according to the study "Opportunities for the Costa Rican printing industry in Panama" by the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (Procomer).
With the entry into force of the Association Agreement with the EU exporters will find consumers who demand quality in products and services but at a lower price.
When negotiations began on the trade agreement in 2008, its reference point was the stability that existed at that time on the continent. However, after the economic crisis hit Europe, the outlook now is different.
FECAEXCA has submitted a regional strategy for the Association Agreement to be an effective tool of investment, business and employment generation.

Italy consumes a significant amount of tuna, in canned form and yellow fin and bluefin tuna, which is equivalent to about 141,000 tons per year, 2.3 kg per capita, valued at $1.47 billion.
In a country where every person consumes 12 kg of bananas per year, the supply of fair trade bananas is relatively limited.

In 2012 about 8,900 tonnes of Fairtrade bananas from different countries were sold in Sweden. This is a great market for fruits and vegetables, because the county's natural conditions only allow it to produce limited quantities of agricultural products. Also in this market there is greater awareness and concern for environmental sustainability, and how consumers can contribute to social causes, providing opportunities for products that protect the environment or that are linked to a social cause.
Countries such as the Netherlands import 98% of their canned tuna in different varieties, including in water, in olive oil, in sunflower oil, and with hot sauce, among other varieties.

With the entry into force of the AA in August, 90% of Salvadoran products will be able to be sent to European Union countries duty free.
"What will happen is that Central America, instead of exporting to the international market, will export to Europe. It will change the export destination," said Julio Arroyo, CEO of the Asociación Azucarera.

The Costa Rican Congress has finally approved the Association Agreement between Central America and the European Union, which will take effect on August 1.

The Legislature has approved on its second reading the Association Agreement between Central America and the European Union (CAAA), which seeks to boost trade relations between Central America and the old continent, by improving the business climate, creating new opportunities for trade, investment and employment and strengthening institutions in the region.

The chocolate industry in Turkey has maintained growth in recent years. Although per capita consumption is below 2 kg per year, compared to the United Kingdom where it is 8 kg and in Germany and the Netherlands where is 9 kg, this has increased rapidly (7% between 2008 and 2012), thanks to a population with increasing purchasing power and a reduction in taxes on these products.
