In recent weeks, interest in kitchen appliances in the region's markets has increased, with Honduras and Guatemala recording the largest increases in interactions on the subject.
Through a system that monitors in real time changes in consumer interests and preferences in Central American countries, developed by CentralAmericaData, it is possible to project short and long term demand trends for different products, sectors and markets operating in the region.
At the regional level, it is estimated that Mabe Guatemala, Distribuidora Electrónica, GMG Comercial Costa Rica and Mabe de El Salvador accounted for about 23% of total kitchen imports.
A study by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit shows that El Gallo Más Gallo from Alajuela, Whirpool Guatemala and Agencias Way are other companies with a considerable share of the Central American kitchen market.
In the first quarter of the year, purchases of ovens and electric grills in countries in the region totaled $19 million, 23% more than the amount imported in the same period in 2017.

In 2017, Central American countries imported $81 million worth of kitchen ovens and electric grills, 12% more than in 2016.
