PPG Industries has completed the acquisition of Comex Central America, adding 57 stores to its sales network in Central America in the paint and refurbishment line.

PITTSBURGH, June 2, 2015 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) today announced that it has acquired Consorcio Latinoamericano, which operates a network of 57 paint stores in Central America. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Ministry of Finance intends to tender drug distribution services for the entire country's hospital network in order to reduce losses from expired medicines.
In response to the loss of approximately $27.2 million due to the expiration of medicines, a proposal has been put forward to the Medicinal Trust Committee to hire a company, domestic or foreign, which specializes in the distribution of medicines.
The Ministry of Health is evaluating whether to use private companies to outsource the service of distributing medicines for public hospitals.
Due to the lack of capacity to supply medicines to national hospitals, the Health Ministry has said it plans to privatize the distribution process of the drugs. In order to realize this project they argue that it is necessary to remove central storage and update the basic list of medicines.
The ESKE Group has announced te opening of a distribution hub in Panama City to redistribute its generic lines imported from India and Europe and those manufactured in Peru.
Group ESKE, an importer of generic drugs from India and Europe and others that it manufactures at its plant in Peru, intends to establish in Panama a distribution hub for the entire region.
In 2014 the consumption of fresh produce went down, the frequency of trips to the shops changed and the preference for large supermarkets has returned.

Vanessa Rodriguez of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortés (CCIC), noted that "Costa Rican businessmen are looking for exclusive distributors, they are not aiming for several buyers or for there to be local competition. In the agendas they choose those who they see more potential in to distribute their products. '"
In 2013 vehicles sales fell by 20% compared to 2012 due to a rise in sales of used cars.
The Honduran Association of Motor Vehicle Dealers and Allies reports that in the first quarter 15% fewer cars were sold than in the same period in 2013.
"Similarly, car importers are facing a delay in the delivery of number plates, around 250,000 units for motorcycles and cars, despite the fact that it is a national security issue, they lamented," reported Latribuna.hn.
Cargill and Copersucar are to create a new company to jointly market sugar globally.

To solve the problems of distributing medicines to hospitals, the Health Ministry may hire a courier company.
"We have several alternatives and it could be, for example, that transport ... rather than have being done by the Secretariat, be done using a private system, the kind of business that delivers goods," said the chief of Health, Salvador Pineda.
