The monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index in October 2017 was 0.29%, mainly explained by an increase in the prices of: some foods of agricultural origin (red beans, corn and onions), rental services, housing maintenance and fuels in the domestic market. This caused inter-annual inflation to be 3.97% (2.82% in October 2016) and accumulated inflation 3.55% (2.90% in the same month in the previous year).
In September, monthly variation was 0.32%, and inflation accumulated in the first nine months of the year closed at 2.7%.

The most important results up to September are the monthly variation of 0.25%, accumulated inflation from January to September of 1.37% and annual inflation of 1.64%.
