The reference prices for gasoline and diesel present lows for the present fortnight, this trend is because of the good time presented by the refineries for the first half of May, where there were significant increases in reserves of gasoline and diesel.
In Costa Rica, the price indexes for buildings and social housing registered year-on-year variations of -0.5% and -0.05%, respectively, in the fifth month of the year.

The increases in gasoline prices for the current fortnight are largely because of the prolonged fall in gasoline reserves, which add up to 7 consecutive weeks, according to reports provided by the IEA, detailing a reduction of 21.4 million barrels.
In the third month of the year, the year-on-year variation of the Consumer Price Index was 1.4%, below the increases of 1.7% and 1.5% recorded in January and February 2019.
During March, the goods and services showing the greatest negative effect were: automobiles, airline tickets and eggs. On the other hand, beans, pizza and domestic service were among the main ones with the greatest positive effect, reported the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC).
