The National Road Council is inviting tenders for the conservation work of the road infrastructure of the national paved network, with surface protection layers.

"The contracting object of this procedure is to carry out the conservation works of the road infrastructure of the National Paved Road Network with "surface protection layers", in accordance with the characteristics and conditions indicated in the requirements document, based on ethics and correct engineering practices.
The National Road Council of Costa Rica tenders the works for the attention of the National Route No. 239, in ballast, control sections: 10502, 10511, 10512 and 60540.

In Costa Rica protests are being made against a decision by the Ministry of Public Works to segment road maintenance works into only three contracts, limiting the participation of more companies.
After a meeting with representatives of the sectors who are concerned about the measure, the National Highway Council (CONAVI) announced that it will review the specifications of the tender with the aim of expanding the division of work.
The Ministry of Public Works has announced that it will launch in 2015 a direct tender for the paving of 18 kilometers of highway in the province of Puntarenas.

MOPT / CONAVI is promoting a direct tender for asphalting 18 kilometers of the Guacimal - Santa Elena de Monteverde road.
The construction company MECO won, together with the local firm Mario Huertas, the tender for the renovation and construction of 146 kilometers of road in Colombia.

The works to be carried out by the construction company and their Colombian counterpart comprise of section 1, 110 kilometers of road between Cartagena and Barranquilla and section 2, 36.7 kilometers between Malambo and Las Flores, known as Circunvalar de la Prosperidad.
The National Highway Council is calling for expressions of interest for the design of renovation or reconstruction works on National Highway 1, the North American Highway, Barranca-Limonal Section.

The contracts are for patching work, supervision, resurfacing of roads and main pathways, and bridge maintenance, among other things, on the national road network.
The Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV) is inviting bids for 430 road maintenance projects, through the Road Maintenance Fund, in which about $100 million will be invested.

Thirteen construction companies have submitted their proposals for repair and construction works in the "Circunvalación" highway, in the capital of Costa Rica.
The companies that submitted proposals to Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi) are: Ascamón y Tapusa, Sánchez Carvajal, PuentePrefa, Internego, Hernán Solís, MECO, Grupo JCB, Codocsa, Cimolai, Marlin Bridges, Edica, Crecex and Gepesa.
With an investment of between $20 and $25 million, the Ministry of Public Works is putting out to tender the widening of the stretch of road going from Pozuelo Factory up to the Funeraria Jardines del Recuerdo.
According to Pedro Castro, chief of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), the tender is ready, they're just waiting on resolving an environmental issue and if there are no setbacks the project will be published next week in the La Gaceta.
