The Ministry of Public Works has announced that it will launch in 2015 a direct tender for the paving of 18 kilometers of highway in the province of Puntarenas.

Thirteen construction companies have submitted their proposals for repair and construction works in the "Circunvalación" highway, in the capital of Costa Rica.
The companies that submitted proposals to Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi) are: Ascamón y Tapusa, Sánchez Carvajal, PuentePrefa, Internego, Hernán Solís, MECO, Grupo JCB, Codocsa, Cimolai, Marlin Bridges, Edica, Crecex and Gepesa.
With an investment of between $20 and $25 million, the Ministry of Public Works is putting out to tender the widening of the stretch of road going from Pozuelo Factory up to the Funeraria Jardines del Recuerdo.

The National Roads Authority of Costa Rica has reported that it will invest $33 million during 2013 in the issue of the "border highway" that runs along the banks of the river San Juan.
The chief executive of CONAVI added that next Monday will see the start of a bidding process to select the contractor that will be responsible for project.

President Laura Chinchilla announced a public tender of a contract for finishing the works on the stretch of road alongside the San Juan River, on the border with Nicaragua.
The president said at a press conference that the government is looking for sources of funding in order to complete the work.
The administration's plan is to have the process completed by the end of the year, so work would start in January 2013, when the dry season starts.
