Construexpo Fair will bring together national and international companies at the International Center for Fairs and Conventions on March 27- 30th 2014.

Panama will become the first country in the American continent to host the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption scheduled to be held in capital city between the 25th to 29th of November, 2013.
From 6th to 9th of May 2014 the Tenth International Conference on Open Source Systems will be held in Costa Rica.
According to Otto Chinchilla, one of the coordinators of the event, Costa Rica was chosen to host the Conference "because it is one of the countries that has had the greatest amount of investment and esteemed development in the software industry, having a highly competitive technology park ".
The Conventions Bureau will be dedicated to the promotion and sale of conferences and conventions in Panama.
The initiative was announced during the Executive Meeting -New Opportunities for the Tourism Sector, attended by members of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) and the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP).
According to Solomon Shamah, general manager of the ATP, this public-private partnership is needed "because you can not depend on the mood of a public official" also "you can not depend on a temporary situation, because, though you may not believe it, positions such as the one I have are not technical positions, but political ones".
In light of the energy crisis, public companies, the private sector and institutions will be reviewing and promoting new strategies to help mitigate the high cost of energy.
On 9th and 10th of October there will be a gathering in Panama of industrialists, electrical engineers, power generators, technology companies and other stakeholders in the electricity sector.
On the 10th and 11th of June the event which will bring together members of the 23 American Chambers of Commerces in Latin America, entrepreneurs and renowned speakers will be held in Guatemala.
The focus of the activity will be "intrarregional trade": promoting and strengthening trade between Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United States. With the signing of sub-regional free trade agreements, the opportunities are great and unlimited.

The Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama and Latin American Business Association on the conclusion of the IX Latin American Business Conference, from 17 to 18 October, in the framework of the XXIII Summit of Heads of State and Governments, was signed this Thursday by Chancellor Fernando Nunez Fabrega and the President of the Latin American Business Conference (CEAL), Samuel Urrutia Cantoral.
From 7 to April 11, 2014, national and international workshops will be held at the XXII International Congress of the International Maritime Pilots Association.
Rainiero Salas, president of the Association of Panama Canal Pilots (APCP), said almost 10 years ago efforts were first made to bring this conference to Panama.

In May, the architect of crime reduction in New York will give a speech in Panama on the theme "Building a Safe Society."
The former mayor of the Big Apple has been hired by the Panamanian company Heavencorp, organizer of the International Security Fair, which will take place from 14 to 17 May 2013 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.
The Security Fair will begin on May 14 with a keynote speech by Rudolph Giuliani in the Anayansi Theatre and a gala dinner in honor of the former mayor of New York.
