From October 18 to 20, logistics and foreign trade companies will be gathering together in Panama City to take part in conferences on issues related to the sector.
The event, which will take place at the ATLAPA Convention Center, will involve companies and consultants in logistics and foreign trade. Expo Logística Panama will be held in an exhibition area with 5,360m² of space, where about 150 local and foreign companies will be taking part in more than 250 modules with products and services geared towards the area of logistics and multimodal transport.
Integration of Latin American customs offices and challenges for the port sector up to 2040 are some of the topics to be discussed at the tenth edition of the logistics event in Panama.

For the tenth consecutive year, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture in Panama (CCIAP) in conjunction with the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), will be holding EXPO LOGISTICS Panama 2016 from October 19 to 21, with one of the main objectives of the event being to strengthen the sector and provide up to date information for professionals in the logistics and multimodal transport sector.
Security of goods in the logistics chain is the main theme of the congress to be held on September 22 in Costa Rica.
The event is being organized by the Chamber of Foreign Trade in Costa Rica and will be held at the Cariari Country Club Convention Center.
Legal procedures, security of cargo at its origin, insurance policies and the importance of reporting incidents are some of the issues which will be discussed during the activity.
On October 18 in San Salvador, logistics companies will be gathering together to discuss issues related to new models of distribution and logistics.
Among the topics to be discussed at the event organized by GS1 are Collaborative Logistics, technology as an enabler of value networks, Visibility in value networks, the challenges of the digital world, innovation, mobile technologies and networking, sustainability and Triple Baseline (Money - People - Planet), among other things.
The regional trade fair for franchises 'Expofranquicias 2016', will be held on 12th and 13th of May in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica, March 14, 2016. More than 100 exhibiting companies and 4,000 investors from the Caribbean, North, Central and South America and Europe, will participate in the seventh version of the only regional trade fair for franchises: Expofranquicia, which will be held on 12th and 13th of May in Costa Rica with the aim of promoting the opening of new franchises in the region.
The main business association has announced the trade fairs Expocomer, Expo Franchise, Expo Tourism, Expo Medical, Expo Furniture and Expo Logistics , to be held between March and October 2016.

On March 11 the second edition of the event will be held which will present opportunities for business development that will arise from the opening of the third set of locks of the Panama Canal.
The Panama Maritime Chamber is organizing the event called Logistic Summit 2016: Logistics in the Americas after the Canal Expansion on March 11.
Industry representatives stressed the need to "adopt technologies and invest in training in order to turn Panama into an efficient and world class logistics platform ."
During the 49th edition of the Annual Conference of Executives (CADE) 2015 the participants emphasized the need to strengthen the National Customs Authority with trained and well-paid human resources, in order to reduce the time spent on customs clearance because of lack of automation of information and personnel that manage it.
From 18 to May 20 Latin American companies in logistics sector will be meeting in Honduras to discuss issues on regional trade and business opportunities in the supply chain.
The 32nd edition of Alacat will be held on the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortés (CCIC) and its main objective is to present "... the new guidelines to improve export logistics among the countries of the region and establish business partnerships between different transport agents. " The even will involve at least 500 participants from different countries in Latin America.
From April 23rd to 25th a conference on the development and prospects of the logistics sector in the country will be held in Panama City.
The 49th edition of the Annual Conference of Executives (Cade) 2015 will be held at the Sheraton Panama Hotel and will address issues such as international logistics, competitiveness of the Panamanian port system and the problems of air, sea, road and rail logistics in Panama.
On November 5th and 6th industry experts will gather together in San Jose, Costa Rica, to discuss issues such as the impact of the deterioration of infrastructure on the economy of Central America.
The event which is being organized by the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (LACCSD) will focus on analysis on the status of ports, airports, roads and border crossings and their impact on the economy of the region.
In Panama the annual event that strengthens the country as a trading platform of excellence in logistics in the region has been inaugurated.

Panama, 20 October 2014 Aiming to overcome the expectation of business contacts and visitors as well as the challenge of positioning Panama as the most important trading platform for logistics excellence in the regional market, over 250 exhibitors from eleven countries will be attending the eighth version of PANAMA EXPO 2014, to be held from 22 to 24 October.
Lectures will be provided as part of the event to be held in Panama City on October 23rd and 24th, addressing the progress and challenges of the sector in the region, competitiveness and development of logistics parks.
