The annualized amount of revenues generated by sales of services to companies in the first quarter of the year grew by 27% compared to the same period in 2015.
Although the arrival of new foreign companies to this market segment in the country is not growing at the same pace as it did years ago, the business continues to show interesting numbers."...The value of sales of these types of services rose from an annual figure of ¢2.318 billion ($4 million) in the first quarter of 2015 to ¢2.955 billion ($5.1 million) per year in the first quarter of 2017, according to figures from the Central Bank."
EGS Guatemala has announced the expansion of operations in customer services, billing and back offices for telecommunications and energy.

In 2016 the Latin American forum that brings together over 500 companies from the service industry will be held in San Jose.

San Jose, Costa Rica, November 26, 2015: The Ministry of Foreign Trade (COMEX), the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) and the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE), announced that the IDB has named Costa Rica as the host for 2016 for one of the most important events in Latin America for the corporate services industry: "OUTSOURCE2LAC". The decision was made official last week, during the fifth edition of the forum, held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
There has been an increase and there are now 122 international companies which have invested in the operation of 140 shared services in different categories.
Currently the export of computer services, management and other business functions make up 5.8% of Costa Rica's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the last 15 years, exports of value-added services increased from 12.1% of total exports to 47.5%, as estimated by the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE).
During 2014 the industry for business process outsourcing generated sales of $397 million, an increase of 15% compared to 2013.

Entrepreneurs in the IT & BPO sector at AGEXPORT, made up of enterprises working in Software Development, Development and Digital Content, Contact Centers and BPO's, announced that at the close of 2014 there was growth of 15%, positioning Guatemala as emerging market in the industry of outsourcing services.
On October 7th call center and shared services companies will meet to discuss issues related to the sector and review El Salvador's strategy for attracting foreign investment to this industry.

This event will be a platform to spread ideas on El Salvador's backing of SED's, in which the results of the development strategy and roadmap of the sector for business services at a distance will be discussed.
